Last Monday, Maybank held an Exclusive Preview for our M2U customers, bloggers and partners to give them a sneak peak at what we’ve been slogging over for the past 6 months: M2U.

The event was held at Delicious @ Marc Residences in KL. The M2U team doesn’t usually organise events like this so it was quite a learning experience for us (read: long hours and a few frantic phone calls).

The goal of the M2U mindset is to make M2U more consumer-centric and so we did our best to make sure the event was also all about you.

Because we were showing off a website, we scoured KL high and low for an appropriate venue that had WiFi. We were inviting bloggers, and the last thing we wanted was a laptop party with no internet connection. Unfortunately with roughly 50 laptops (and a few Blackberries and iPhones) trying to connect all at the same time, the connection was lethargic at best. Any suggestions for where to hold future events?

The team members also made a conscious effort to get to know the M2U users who attended the event. It’s not often that we have face to face interaction with our users. We learnt what the major gripes were with the present site and we’ll be working to integrate some of their suggestions into M2U when it’s launched officially.

Overall, it was a good event. We enjoyed ourselves and hope that those of you who attended did, too. Thanks for your support as M2U users and stay tuned for more updates soon!
