A big hello to everyone in the Malaysian blogosphere. Many of you have discovered the new M2U and have posted your thoughts on it in forums and your blogs.

You’re helping us to find bugs and suggest improvements to make M2U the best internet banking portal in Malaysia. We really appreciate you taking the time to do so and want to encourage others to do the same. When we see your posts online, the entire team (and our bosses) gets motivated to make changes and improvements, so keep them coming!

    Is there limitation in the email address field in 3rd party accounts? I am not able to capture the full address past 30 chars.

    Currently there’s a limitation of 30 characters in the email address field for 3rd party account transfer. Nevertheless, thank you for raising this concern; we will consider expanding the number of characters.

    Can someone from Maybank reason out why is there a limit of 10 Favourite Accounts under Interbank GIRO. CIMBClicks allows more than 10 Favourites for interbank GIRO and also within CIMB itself. Why limit customers from setting up favourites?

    There is one thing that I have wrote over previously to Maybank. Payment of credit cards option. It’s always Statement amount and other amount. The most important one… Balance amount is not available.
    2. On the own funds balance transfer page, I would love to see the balance for any accounts displayed on selection (to/from). This would be easier on real time basis.

    i do hope this time m2u system will good enough because a few txn been made unsuccessful but a/c debited - customer care give the reason system failure/error which shouldnt be happen at all .

    system slow / not key in the tac yet / already click confirm but system slow and yet no reference given either unsuccessful or not but a/c already debited .

    pls focus on this matter 1st bcoz it is very important when it comes to customer money !

    I hope that M2U will display the time of every transaction made not only the date. This is very important thing. Others online banking like CimbClicks, RHBOnline already display this features. Why not maybank2u?

    Referring to the above comment made by “Nat”, this is what I’ve suggested to Maybank few months ago and I hope this will implemented with this new system.Real time transactions with details such as Time / From/To account (state the acc no)/Debit/Credit after the transactions..

    Just like “Maybank2u Internet History”..

    1. The new all-you maybank2u took a significantly long time to load and ready for my input.

    2. The word ‘beta version’ seems suggest that the system is not ready for mass usage and is still undergoing tests.

    Hoping for a better maybank2u experience soon.

    Tahniah utk new design. Tapi saya nak komen sikit tentang laman web m2u ni. Loading pages selalu lambat atau lembab.. bila loading lambat selalu transaction gagal. Saya lebih suka web mu2 yang lama sebab loading page yang cepat dan mudah.. Utk hari ini saya dah cuba 3 kali transaction tapi gagal. Dicadangkan maybank tidak meletak banyak grafik yg boleh melambatkan proses di account area atau secured side (https). Kalau nak letak jugak untuk (http) saya rasa sesuai. Akhir sekali saya rasa TIDAK SELESA dengan loading page web ini. Sekian

    why it took so, so, so long to get the login page and then after that have to wait for another 15 min to mbb display the input and so on…
    why this thing must be like this, it supposed to make ur customer easy and it will be convinience tool for who had no other time to go to the bank…..

    Refer from navedb’s comment. Balance of each transaction shown in account statement is essential to user who need to keep track the balance of each transaction which has been proceed. It’s kinda hard to know how much balance remaining when has paid for last few day of the transaction.

    Agreed with Hakeem. I need longer time to log in. Logging in maybank stocks need two steps compared to only one before, wasting my time a bit more. However I like the overall new look.

    I agreed with Hakeen, the new maybank2u interface took too long time to load and to work around. I am using broadband to access maybank2u.com , however, it still take ages to load. Hope you will look into this issue and improve it soon. We do not need fancy design, we need something work efficiently, quick and clean look, just like CIMB clicks.. they have nice, clean design with good features and load much more faster compared with Maybank2u website.

    thank you for upgrading m2u site,here are the suggestion for more enhancing m2u

    1. the holder passbook can view their statement account n print out bank statement without go to where is the branch account opened.its happen to me recently.

    2. the security is total 1st class but sometime m2u getting slow to load even after my server up..please check your network cabling or server once a week my suggestion.

    3. compatible hours.extended online banking until 12.30 am.it may useful for some company to do their transaction if closing business hour n 12.00 midnight.

    4. instead have windows live messenger why shouldn’t open messenger for skype messenger or google talk also..because yahoo messenger id can add msn hotmail id…hope take as an advantage.

    The site looks great but not the speed as it took ages to download. If this is a beta version may i suggest to leave a link for us users to go to the old version to make our normal banking.

    Why slower than the previous? I tried few times by pressing log in button but it take more than a minute to go to the next window. I feel no confidence with this new MB2U website so I change my mind to log in and do any transaction today.

    Old site was slow, this site is slow enough that it is not usable. Takes 5+ minutes just to log in and view transactions on one account. It might be faster to go to the post office to pay bills now.

    The site looks fresh. However, the response time is extremely slow. I have been trying to logon since this morning, until now I am not able to logon the page. Only the main page is loading fast.

    Wondering how this made decision for system to go-live with such terrible performance. As such, it significantly interrupts users for using Internet banking services for business transaction.

    Looking forward for better performance in future.

    Tahniah atas rekaan design terbaru tapi……….saya merasa amat kecewa dengan kepantasan sistem kerana sudah sehari suntuk saya cuba untuk masuk tapi masih tidak dapat….bukan luaran yg penting tapi isi kandungannya dan keselesaan yg lebih penting….saya rasa sistem lama adalah yg terbaik…..

    I like maybank online banking very much. But I am very disappoint new web site and its servcie. It is really slow. I just wanted to check my transaction only, it took five minutes to show me the detail. I can make a cup of coffee.

    I agreed to Vince..the new site too slow and take times…. The wordings of printout receipt is also very small, not easy to view especially when received by fax, prefer the old version, standard size of fonts….

    New website took long time to download… unable to do any transaction today. compare old version is better than new version if this is the “normal time” to download for the new website.

    The thing greatest thing about the new website is how useless it is. Its the greatest USELESS website i’ve been to. I can’t believe i just spent 2 hours trying to login and pay my bills.

    maybe i’ll spend another hour to try and eventually i’ll give up. I never thought i’d last this long trying to login to a website!!! I’m just amazed at how much patience i’m juicing out just to make sure astro doesn’t cut my subscription tomorrow.

    yes I agreed…everytime will automatically log out by itself coz took to long time to go to every page…yes it’s look nice but it must be convenience. Why dont you just use the old concept while you just improve the new web services. The online banking is meant to be fast and efficient, not slow and troublesome. If you want your customer to test your BETA site at east you can inform or put an option (button) at the classic m2u.com. Not once you type m2u.com.my it will redirect customer to the new and troublesome website. You will make customer complaining about the services. Now customer already comparing you with others. Luckily I manage to go to the classic ver. as I need to make a transaction will due tomorrow morning.
    Webmaster have a good idea but even you got 1GB connection it’s still slow and will kick you off and need to log in few time. it is troublesome thou. Just use your old jsp site until the flash/silverlight whatsoever site you want to build problem is solve. Yes I know you want customer to test the BETA /new ver m2u, but atleast inform or give customer an option.Not every customer got a super connection. You wouldn’t know if the customer is using dial up…

    1. INFORMATION: YOU GOT A FLASHY BANNER ON TOP OF THE CLASSIC SITE, WHY DON’T YOU ADVERTISE IT OVER. THAT WHY IT’S CALLED I.T.
    2.VISIBLE FOR CUSTOMER: WHY MAKE DROPDOWN MENU…YOU KNOW PEPS NOWADAY IS ‘MALAS’. YOU CAN SAY MALAYSIAN IS CORKY AND LAZY BUT THE BANKING ONLINE SERVICES MUST BE EFFICIECT, CONVINIENCE, EFFECTIVE, EASY ACCESS YET BETTER SECURITY.

    Here is my two cents opinion.

    The new website is a very interesting and able to capture my attention, and I believe it also has become very user-friendly web. Congratulation.

    Unfortunately, this website is not a regular web where people come-read-and go. People do business here and I am not able to do my regular transaction?

    The loading page made me ‘feedup’. Service not available currently? Come on guys, this is not the time. If it is not ready, dont release it yet okay.

    Classic website, you are still in my heart. All-new-all-you, must catchup and not impress me much.

    The important thing for me is: the website able to operate successfully regardless the interface is cute or not. Just fix what ever that must ASAP. We cannot wait due to your vulnurabilities .

    Need to improve loading process. So slow to log in. The frontpage design was impressive. The most important of all is security. Constantly upgrade its security especially involving internet transactions. My suggestion is the upgrade version has the same functions with the older version because most of the M2U user has familiar with the functions. Hope Maybank will grow stronger and become the the no.1 bank in Malaysia and International. Tq

    I logged in yesterday but too slow. Even if I managed to go in, suddenly message “idle” displayed and ask to re-login. This morning remains the same.

    Based on other comments and my own experience, it seems that new M2U has not gone thru proper testing and UAT from users perspective !.

    We expect the now one is ‘Wow” not “apa ni”.

    “The purpose of business is make customer happy”.

    I have to agreed with all that was said. The site looks great, no doubt. Pleasing to the eyes, I have to say. The yellow and black contrasted nicely, not distracting.
    Though the upgrade is welcoming, sad to say it has its drawback

    1. The site and every new pages take ages to load.
    2. Its quite frustating having to go back to ‘all accounts’ page in order to get into another account. I still prefer the drop down list to select and click go.
    3. I still prefer to select the services from the left panel. A drop down of sub-services makes it easier to choose for a services rather than having to go into every heading tab/page and select the services from there. As mentioned. it just take ages to load the pages.
    4. Convenience and user friendly is the most important thing to the consumers. This is a banking website for consumers to do their banking transactions. Suggest to leave the fancy footwork at the homepage where you promote your products and services. But for online transaction, FAST, SIMPLE and USER FRIENDLY is the key.

    Hi, Regarding the new interface maybank2u. I believed that most of the maybank2u users disappointed on it because of the color of interface, no user friendly, extreme slow loading speed, fonts no in standard, etc. In facts, i still able to use the old interface back now and it a lot better than new version in most of the aspects. Hope maybank’s management allow to upload back the old version if the new version still in BETA version, i felt no differences between the BETA version on the previous month and current month. Thanks.

    I agree with all those people having problems on their PC throttle, I ran two simple transactions at the office’s super fast connection and is already tremendously slow compared to the old MB2U version. Bring backI The lightning speed connectivity please.

    The new Maybank2u website is just too slow, and have gotten worse than the previous one. It is frustrating that the pages take longer time to load. Though the screens looks more attractive, the loading time has offset this new UI improvement. An improvement must be done on the performance of this new system, or it’ll start driving users away.

    It is nice to have a new look but it is not that efficient for us to do or check transaction. i am not able to check my banking transaction continuosly for two days and both scenarios are caused by the problem of slow speed to load. further, the session close message always pop out before the desired page has been load successfully. Looking for a more effecient and convenience website rather than a nice website. hope this problems can be solved soonesr possible. Thanks.

    I would like to suggest if you could open the “older page” for accessing til the new implementation was stable!!!!!!!

    online transaction is too slow, better use the old version. login until make one transaction need about 10 minutes to finish, old version about 1~2 minutes to finish.

    The new website is reallllly slow. And difficult to navigate. We keep going back to the same pages to change to another job. Crazy. And your telephone toll free line….I spent 30 mins waiting for someone to attend to me and then the line cuts off. Totally meanlingless to tell us that we will attend to you shortly. No such thing. Please ask your managers to try to call and to use the website. It is not the internet connection as I can access other bank sites without problem.

    Please improve. I do a lot of internet banking and your new site has caused my blood pressure to shoot up.

    The old site was already slow…
    waiting for a TAC or page refresh would get me kicked out and have to log in again!!!!
    This new site is making my online banking experience EXCRUCIATINGLY painful!!
    Please do something QUICKLY!!… I rely on online banking very extensively and this is a VERY big step backwards!!
    Fast speed with good functionality will always win out over flashy and slow!!!!

    Your new maybank2u website looks nice. However the page was too heavy. Ussually to login its take less than 15seconds but with the new maybank2u website its takes FOREVER!!. For us the customer; beside security, the fast loading page is important to navigate from one page to another. We can’t affort to wait up to 15min just to login and more than 30min to do one transaction. Prefer the previous version of maybank2u website. i can’t even login to the page with this new-not-good-website. thanks.

    p/s1: i’m using Win XP with Pentium D CPU 3.20GHz with 1GB RAM. (so no issue that my PC is slow)

    p/s2: Even your “make an enquiry function” does not works and always throw error “Sorry,
    There was an error sending the message.”.

    you’re new web page is very promising….. but, it’s extremely slower than the previous one. can you revert it to the old webpage or maybe you can put two options there. it’s really slow, even i have the fastes package of broadband, still i dnt have the patience to wait to do my transaction on line. please do something about it as soon as possible.

    yeap, i’ totally agree with all of commentars…. compare than previous versions, this new look and feel sites runs with “kelajuan of siput!!!”..and some of basic functions not work very well.

    frankly, i’m very happy if you fix this..

    There’s no meaning if website look cool, and does’t matter if maybank want to be same like CIMB clicks. but, for what purposes if at the end of results, loyalty customers comes dissatisfy and switch to another bank

    Nice interface and far sighted.
    Anyway, since it is new, it should be as a beta version (already!)
    So, there should (must) be an alternative site (old version) for users.
    Without this, there will be panics and hick-cups.
    the old site should not be closed yet
    - lets the customers be familiar with the new versions first!

    Agreed with them the system was too slow and when we viewing the transaction history,it not giving you details as what we have in the old version of website which contains of all the information(payee,time,date,ref no and etc)
    Suggesting to remain the old version till the new version proven user friendly and faster that the ol version.

    I would have expected the new look to come with better & more efficient system.

    However, sad to say, my experience with Maybank2u since 16 Oct have been annoyingly slow & painfully inefficient eventhough Im on a 36 Mbps (yes, you read it right, Megabytes).

    It not only takes as long as 5 minutes just to get into the login page but it takes just as long (if not longer) to get to my personal homepage or any other of the links in there.

    So far Ive not been able to perform any activities as I get some form of error message or ’service is currently unavailable’ message.

    It is causing much inconvinience to me as I cant check my a/c ’s & do necessary transfers especially with me being out of Malaysia most time.

    Early this year I have stop using Maybank2u online stock trading all together after facing numerous unqualified transaction due to its ineffcient system. Made worse, the managers are unappologetic & do not try make situation better.

    Buckup Maybank! As you can see from other comments above, users do have a/c with other banks & experienced better services.
    It only shows how easy it is for us consumers to move our business to another bank while perhaps, like me, may just keep my Maybank’s a/c to minimal amount, just because my company requires me to have a Maybank a/c.

    I just don’t understand why fix something that is not broken?

    The new mb2u loads at snail speed. Isn’t online banking supposed to be all about convenience rather than a hindrance? What’s the use of a ‘prettier’ interface if it doesn’t serve the function that it’s supposed to well?

    The new website takes longer to load and is less user friendly. Knowing that the majority of the population of malaysia is using problematic slow broadband connection from telekom malaysia, they should have realised to no put unnessasary rubbish advertistment and huge data applets.
    The website should be made more bussiness like as, the people who use online banking are not kids! What we need is a website that is user freindly, loads fast and we do not need to click so many buttons to log into our share trading account! Please amend this! Make a link so we can directly log into your accounts, like how the old M2U had and lessen this website, more HTML and less graphics and applets!

    Changing the site layout is good but in terms of fast accessibility to do online transaction is a must for all users so that no much time spent online waiting to load each and every window. Compared to classic site, its much more super fast and convenient.

    Hope MBB will start look into the server performance issue to speed up the processing of transactions.

    Just carried out transactions in classic site which far more easy and FAST.

    But the login page shouldn’t be so slow..(anyway.. its just a login page..)
    and
    - new m2u website require two steps to login maybank2u.com
    - new m2u website require three steps to login online stock.
    (as compared to 1 step login in old m2u website)

    Really a big discount on user confidence in m2u’s future enhancement.

    I like the left side bar of OLD m2u interface. Its clear cut and straight to the POINT!

    Don’t mention about the response time now, i believe ur team are doing someting on it.

    Regarding “Switch to Classic M2U” notice or link…
    Please dont write too much “nonsense”..
    Just few simple words like “Special Anouncement - To Switch back to Classic M2U - Click here.”. This is to make the notice more NOTICEABLE
    (I only notice I can switch back to Classic M2U the next day.)

    Why Maybank switching to the new website (nice but slow) in a sudden?You should test the system before launch it to the public.Now this issue brought the shame to Maybank as I have 3 accounts (S/A,C/A,Sole Prop) with Maybank and thinking to close all account because of this.Maybank should listen to their customer as well in order to improve themselves.

    i Failed to log in on the 16 Oct evening it was then that i noticed the changed in web page. It took toolong to open up the different facilities. I onl;y managed to get my transaction done on th 17 Oct early morning.

    any way I still prefer the old setting. Thank you for restoring now.

    What happen to the old website?? Shouldn’t customer be informed that M2U is changing their new look?

    I manage to log in the new site. It is very impressive, but quite confusing to browse through the section that I need. For example there is no Internet Transaction History section. How am I able to check what sort of future payment I made before???

    If M2U is intended to make a new impression on their new Online Banking website, please make sure you remain all features available in the old version and add anything new to the new one.

    Especially i open the transaction history, it not showing my account details like last version which contains of all the information..

Benda ni baru nak implement, mestilah ada masalah2 teknikal yg akan d hadapi ole system provider. Dorg suma mesti nak buat yg sehabis baik, suma utk pelanggan2 Maybank yg setia selama ni. Tp perkara biasa la bila nak mulakan sesuatu yg baru, akan ada rintangan dan cubaannya. Kalu suma trus ok jer, x da la yg bergelar perintis atau pakar dlm sesuatu hal. Sebab apa, org slalu kata, kita mahir bila selalu mencuba dan sentiasa belajar dr kesilapan.
    Korang x try lg pun web yg da siap spenuhnya, da kata dan komen yg x munasabah langsung. Da cuba nanti, bru la tau best ke idaknyer…jgn teka jantina anak dlm kandungan yg bru 2 minggu…..
    Saya berani katakan, pihak Maybank pasti ada sesuatu yg lebih hebat dr website yg lama utk d hadiahkan pada pelanggan yg setia ni. Sebab tu la d pkenalkan muka baru ni. X kan Maybank nak buang duit mcm 2 jer kan….

    I think the system is still under testing that why the new Maybank2U is slow. Hope Maybank can improve the speed so that the customer will happy with the new look and for convience to all user. After browsing today, the speed had been improved greatly and faster as usual. Keep the system faster will make the customer happy with Maybank.     tahniah…satu paparan baru yang menarik - i always like Maybank2u.com since yr 2000 lagi. tapi satu hal perlu difikirkan juga ….pastikan MENU yang dipaparkan adalah user friendly. sebagai pengguna lama (since year 2000) kita dah tahu & HAFAL di mana tempat MENU yang perlu diklik untuk sebarang transactions - iaitu SEBELAH KIRI website macam on the OLD MAYBANK2u Classic… tengok saja dari atas ke bawah….sooo easy!!! tolonglah…diulang sekali lagi, tolonglah…. JANGAN LETAK MENU-MENU itu berterabur di sana sini macam kat website bank-bank lain tu… memang le cantik tapi menyusahkan kita pengguna saja. tolong tambah juga dari segi kecekapan & kelajauan seperti the OLD MAYBANK2u Classic…

    I’m trying to print out my account statement for 3monts but cannot because the said “not a passbook holder”. I don’t understand and how could I print all the statements online? I just need them very soon. But, once I went to my branch they said I have to wait for a week. Unbelievable..! Then, what was the purpose of online banking if we still cannot do online job? Maybank really-really troublesome and compare with other banks, Maybank was too slow. Yeah, your latest website not too user friendly. And its damn hard for new user. And, please improve the quality of Maybank. I’m not satisfy until I can print my statement online. I cannot take a leave everyday just to go to Maybank. Thats ridiculous man. And, I hope the best from Maybank. Thank you

    It had been one week i tried to place Order Entry after i back from work during weekday (after 8pm). The system keep telling me “Server rejected the order for the following reason - Service Unavailable”. Even when i try to access Online Enquiries, it show “System is not available currently”. But the “Currently” seems to be forever for me. May I know what happen to M2U?? I really disappointed with this.

    I dont think this is so called “Improvement” from the supporter, this is lag behind. It shouldn’t happen.

    Appreciate if Maybank could overcome this problem ASAP.

    I am one of the students of Universiti Utara Malaysia.Here i want to say that Maybank is the best Finacial group of services in Malaysia because your ATM machice are here.Even here we have Bank Islam but their services are worse… Ijust want to Maybank some opinions and suggestions regarding improvement of your services.As we know In UUM we have only 1 ATM machine.That is very good performance. And now i just want to suggest to Maybank, if you can put another 1 ATM machine at Dewan Penginapan pelajar Kolej Muamalat because if there is your ATM services, for sure we will support your services because even at this Dewan Penginapan Pelajar have Bank Islam ATM machine but Bank Islam in UUM do not perform teir serviices well (WORSE).

    Can you imagine, only 1 Bank Islam ATM for around 7000 students here and this ATM Machine always gives us problem and Bank Islam don’t take any action…. Think ???? Here Maybank can improve your services and i guarrantee one Maybank will be the next panel banking & financial for Universiti Utara Malaysia.

    We hope that maybank will put some facilities In Universiti Utara Malaysia like more ATM MACHINE,SOME CASH DEPOSIT MACHINE and 1 SERVICE CENTRE here…. because all of us generally wat Maybank In UUM because all services that we need……. MAYBANK CAN FULFILL & PERFORM

You just need go to M2U History, whereby you can view all your Internet Banking transactions initiated via M2U for the last 60 days which includes information such as Date & Time of transaction, Transaction Details, Effective Date, From Account To Account, Amount (RM), Status Reference, and option to reprint your receipts.

    1. “Request a TAC number” link under “Utilities”.
    2. “Request a TAC number” link at the 1st step of performing transactions which require TAC.
    3. “Request a TAC number” link at the step whereby you need to confirm your transaction and key in your TAC, beside the TAC field.
