the layouts look so nice in web browser no doubt… but there is no printer version. once you print it out, css layouts gone … not presentable, the old version was much better (as the design hardcoded onto html).

Completely no brainer design, waste of time and please study the basic rules of e-commerce / banking. User-friendly Interface is more important than anything else! not your colorful design! Please go back to old platform before you have completely tested the “The all-new all-you M2U”!

I am writing to M2U today to participate and share my opinions in regard to the latest website outlook implementation today.
I am so pleased to manage well on the maybank2u.com (M2U) new representable Interface. I love the new look as it has the characteristics as well as the attributes to each web pages. I am so privileged to click on the new informative website without any prospective problem encountered. Also, the data inter-connectivity to the banking hub can be securely accessible and reliable with the new arrangement.
As i believe that the M2U website development has spent vast of time to generate tremendous improvements on new website transformation. It seems Maybank has great responsibility and ability to create new impression clients with its long-running icon. As website developers have tremendous pay attentive cares to meet our website expectations & requests. They constantly invest numerous of time along with endless efforts in the process of customer data investigated, analysis and building an interactive websites to enhance loyal services to M2U clients. They have been struggling to fulfill and maintain majority of customer’s perception, expectation and satisfaction to the fresh outlook developed website outcomes.
After testing the new websites today, I am strongly disagree to the above comments. As i am one of the customer, i would to pinpoint the importances of M2U new outlook’s feature and characteristic effects as below :-
1. Information appears in a cohesive, well-organized linked structures, neat and tidy.
2. The interface layout is clean and well-presented in the it’s in both design and style.
3. The exceptional appearance in selection aspects such as font, size, colors, new stylish icon-images.
4. Each product and service information can be linked in relations to the particular and desirable area of information only.
5. Inexperience the log-in problem with the new interface and working well as usual.
6. effective and efficiency in all aspects.
7. It looks lovely, simple and easy click effects.
In fact, I disagree with the perception above. I ascertain the new developed M2U website is not the problematic trails to user’s problem. I would like to point out to the unable to M2U online log-in phase with my basic/limited Info-Tech knowledge. It is learned that clients above were suddenly unable to connect to M2U after launching the new outlooks. Perhaps, while M2U clients attempt to log in on the new website, the cause of the problems could be encountered and seen as such in certain ways:-
1) The responsive data transfer time is overdue between clients and MayBank servers in normal/ peak period.
2) The data servers can be upgraded in time set/ servers busy/ in the maintenance process.
3) If online banking service is not available or servers break down. The message can be seen before log-in.
4) Clients log in information might be incorrect.
As i perceived that the new interfaces of M2U website has been gradually mushroomed and implemented to utilize all of us. To that, as M2U users, we have to take new opportunities to experience the new born technology as well as it’s new website that enhancing fast, simple, convenience, timeliness online banking services to meet our needs. undoubtedly, there is inevitable to escape the rapid changes of the info-tech world.
To the customers above, please kindly bear in mind advise:
Comment to all: “we must move on with brand new days. Stop living in the past with regrets”. Taking chances in the process of “learning” & “adapting” to the new environment and technology. Apparently, there is no way to turn back time, Ms. Young, not surprisingly, the world is moving forward each day.
With endless appreciation and thankful for M2U web designers indeed. I was impressed and fascinated by the new look of M2U, alongside the outstanding development in both feature and arrangement. Amazing task and keep it up.
Yours sincerely.

The previous maybank2u platform I regarded as the best internet banking in Malaysia with its fast, user friendly, useful & see all navigation.
But recently, the bank has changed to, I would said, very unfriendly navigation tool, there is no back button, no see all menu on the left (like the previous one), I do not know how to go back unless you click the home button again. Not to mention, the online banking has become slow at least the past 3 days I was trying.
It was very frustrating experience nowadays using the maybank2u. I rely it very much before but now I just felt helpless with this new platform
December 4th, 2008 at 1:49 pm
For me, now there’s only 1 last kink in the login.
After login using my corporate account, it prompts to register or something. If I clicked OK, I’m redirected to the Session Expired page. This happens both in Firefox and Internet Explorer 7.
Plus, I’ve no way to stop this for prompting.

i still prefer the older platform of M2U. This new one looks fresh but not as user friendly as the previous.
Older platform i find it much simpler to use, very straight forward, easy to see what i wanted to see at a glance.
Now i felt very frustrating using the new platform, as it doesnt direct me to what i really wanted.
Really dissapointing with the new upgrade…..
December 15th, 2008 at 11:51 pm
Dear Jentang, I found it is much easier with this new format. Just go to the Account site, at the top part of the page you will find a blue color option command. Just click M2U history..wallla.. there’s your internet transaction history. They change the name.

I consider my self among the first M2U user, and I have won one of the early M2U contest way back. At that time, many of my friends said it is not wise of me to do the internet banking, but I believe maybank have surely did their study into the system to prevent any unwanted events. Furthermore, most of the problem arose are due to the users own negligence. Now everybody do M2U.
Bravo to M2U for this new format and for the fellow M2U user -relax, take it easy, forget about the “old” M2U. Take the new format with an open heart, Im sure sooner or later you guys will appreciate it more. Its a new things, some people just need a bit more time to understand and getting use to it.
December 16th, 2008 at 6:09 am
I used to be able to send SMS through maybank2u.com. Now with the new interface, I’m not able to find the SMS section, and I still have balance left in the SMS account. The Agent M couldn’t help at all. How do I send SMS with this new interface?
December 16th, 2008 at 3:56 pm
Selama ni format lama tak ada masalah, bila buat format baru…bukan saja menyusahkan tapi membingungkan saya. Bosan! Yang baru tak semestinya lebih baik.
December 18th, 2008 at 7:49 am
I’m not satisfied with the current website, it’s not well-organized with all the items on the website. I hope you can improve it to a better outlook and user-friendly version. Anyway, it is convenient for maybank user…keep it out!
Thank you.
December 18th, 2008 at 8:02 pm
Can’t find the SMS section, and I still have balance left in the SMS account. How do i get the link back? If the service is not available anymore how can i get my money back? Thanks.
December 19th, 2008 at 11:01 am

please improve the system…thank you
December 21st, 2008 at 11:49 am
the new outlook for MB2U was acceptable and simple to monitor , it was some improvement on the security side for inter-bank fund tranfer & credit card payment . on the other hand , I’m not satisfy for the bank / credit card statement preview , it was almost one month back-dated compare to previous bank / credit card statement preview. It was really inconvenience for me to make my payment transaction due to the poor service on the statement updated. please consideration on the improvement for the statement preview.

Assalamualaikum Maybank Group and greetings to All of you,
I am one of the students of Universiti Utara Malaysia. Here i want to say that Maybank is the best Finacial group of services in Malaysia because your ATM machice are here.Even here we have Bank Islam but their services are worse… Ijust want to Maybank some opinions and suggestions regarding improvement of your services. As we know In UUM we have only 1 ATM machine. That is very good performance. And now i just want to suggest to Maybank, if you can put another 1 ATM machine at Dewan Penginapan pelajar Kolej Muamalat because if there is your ATM services, for sure we will support your services because even at this Dewan Penginapan Pelajar have Bank Islam ATM machine but Bank Islam in UUM do not perform teir serviices well (WORSE).
Can you imagine, only 1 Bank Islam ATM for around 7000 students here and this ATM Machine always gives us problem and Bank Islam don’t take any action…. Think ???? Here Maybank can improve your services and i guarrantee one Maybank will be the next panel banking & financial for Universiti Utara Malaysia.
We hope that maybank will put some facilities In Universiti Utara Malaysia like more ATM MACHINE,SOME CASH DEPOSIT MACHINE and 1 SERVICE CENTRE here…. because all of us generally wat Maybank In UUM because all services that we need……. MAYBANK CAN FULFILL & PERFORM

Dear Mr Lee Chong Huat,
I agree you that we all should not turn back time and move forward, but the new Maybank2U seem turning back the time. What should we do now?
In view of the all new Maybank Online, All our account histories are wipe clean, all the informations gone. What’s the point of having so canggih when can’t even be more user friendly to at least load in all our previous histories of our account?
The old Maybank Online, we can even write comments to customer service even when we’re logged on. Now we have to log out to write comments to Maybank. Isn’t this turning the clock back to zaman kunno maybank online? What happen to the instant link that Maybank keep stressing about?
Perhaps for those new user who are oblivious to the old Maybank Online finds it great, but to those who use previous Maybank Online, we are the real expert who knows the difference.
Before you comments unfairly about us, make sure you do know what’s the difference instead of just blabbing of the new Maybank online can offers as we all also can see it ourselves.
Having great features not necessarily means user-friendly or towards modernity or technologically advance
I want to live in a future where all are technologically advance, and NOT living in a future where the technology turns the clock by itself!
FYI, we all move forward, not backward, please help yourself to move forward and not backward. New things does not mean modern or moving forward

My comments on the new M2U website:
1. It took a while for me to figure out that the ONLINE BANKING button is the “Home” button. That’s not very intuitive. OK, there is a note at the bottom explaining how to log out, but isn’t it better to get rid of the note and just add 2 buttons, one for “HOME” and one for “LOGOUT”?
2. I’d like to copy my transaction summary at the log-out page. With the new M2U, the format is one long string per transaction in the clipboard. And today, there were some missing information:
30 DEC 2008, TUE,09:39 BillRegister
American Express Charge Card - - - - Successful 12871*****
30 DEC 2008, TUE,09:41 Biller Registration
Tenaga Nasional Berhad - A/C 1 - - - - Accepted 1287192468
I prefer the old transaction summary, which retains the formatting in the clipboard and I had never encountered missing information there.
3. But I do like the speed of the new M2U.
4. I also like the upfront-all-is-there-for-view navigation. All the sub-sites like Investment, Insurance, are not buried in unusual places but are right there for view.
5. I don’t like the use of acronym like EBPP. What is that? And when you have jargon or special features like “My Bill”, you should have some way to explain “what it is”. Actually, if you would treat me like a complete banking idiot and explain everything, I would be happy for once to be an idiot. I would be frustrated if you think I am a Banking expert who knows all the banking jargon or your special terms.
I care about my online experience and I’m glad M2U cares too. But I can tell there is no full-time dedicated “usability expert” in the development team. If you have one, then he fails. And I am sure a majority of us don’t watch the how-to videos, so if you would save the money there, you can use that money for the usability testing. Or you can’t afford one, hire a “click counter”, that is, have someone count all the clicks when performing a specific task, table the counts for all the possible tasks, and it will show a lot of information. In case you ask, the objective is to reduce the number of clicks to a reasonable minimum per task.

Maybank is the best in providing the transaction through M2U. But poorly the system cannot detect PUTRAJAYA postcode when I want to change the address. Don’t make this M2U system look crazy if and only PUTRAJAYA postcode it can’t recognise. Please update something about PUTRAJAYA, until now since 2 months trasferred I still cannot changed my address to the current status.

I fully agreed to what hong lim say on 15/12/2008, old format is user friendly. Hopefully M2U can further improve to user friendly programme.

I personnaly feel that the previous Maybank2u website was very much user friendly compared to this new outlook. The new outlook is so confusing and very difficult to get what we want. The designer for this new outlook should have enough trials before introducing to the public. What a pity.
Thousand apology to everybody.
January 9th, 2009 at 12:33 pm
The NSTP account No for Gaza fund which you mentioned on maybank2u.com is “514105-320501″, which i think is incorrect because when i tried to transfer money to the above account it gives error because of “-”. then i tried without “-” it worked. kindly change it on the maybank2u.com as soon as possible.

Babar Qadri

Dear Siew Fong, after you have login to your M2U account, at the Home page, there is a “Quick Link” dropdown option on the top right hand corner whereby you can access directly features such as Bill Payment, Transfers, Fixed Deposits and Rewards Points.

Hi Zakaria, we apologize sincerely for the delay. The result for Hari-hari Mau Reload Contest is out. Just go to “Promotions” “Contest Winners” and you will find the link to the result there.

Hi Subki, relax
Yo do not need to re-register your bills. Your registered bills are still in the system as long you did not deregister it. However, this function is now called “Manage your favourite payees” whereby you can either “Add favourite payee” or “Delete favourite payee”. This function can be found under “Bill Payment” feature and under the same feature, you can pay your registered bills, just go to “Make a payment to a favourite payee”.

Dear Dixon,
What browser are you using to run your Online Stocks? For the time-being, it is only compatible with Internet Explorer 6.0 and above…Did you disable your pop-up blocker? or perhaps there is a small tab / taskbar appearing on the top part of the browser but you didn’t notice…
try again bro…cheers…
January 17th, 2009 at 1:50 pm
Hi all,
I’m sharing this based on my experience using new M2U during this transition period btw old and new.
There are 2 things which I would like to comment.
——————————————————————–
1). There is no back button provided.
Example : After login, you click to your Banking Account, and you will see
your accounts and credit card summary info. Say if you want make a payment
for credit card and you click on VISA, it will bring you to a page with ONLY info for that particular credit card.
Many of us wonder how to get back to the previous page where we initially
see all banking accounts (ie. SA/CA/Credit Cards) with left menu bar links
like All Accounts, Bill Payment, Transfer…etc.
Then I realised there’s a link on top ‘All Accounts’ where it gets us back to the
All Account page….but it’s not in bold… just a tiny normal blue color link.
So, not many people realised it. Of course, we can also use the main tab on top
‘Accounts & Banking’ for the same function, but people won’t know if they dun
try to click. Dun forget some people are sceptical to try to click on links which
they are not familiar or sure with. After all, they are doing ‘try and error’ with a system that is managing their hard-earned money.
Maybe I would suggest M2U team to make it ‘Back to All Accounts’ in bold (same
size as per the ‘Left Menu Bar’ when we click on ‘Accounts & Banking’.
Then it will more understandable for users and easy to see.
2). ‘Home’ tab name very misleading (after successful login)
It is very misleading as the main M2U page also has a tab called ‘Home’.
It gives the impression that if I clicked on the ‘Home’, it will logout me out
and send me back to the main page of M2U (before login).
Technically, I’m sure M2U team knows that the system BEFORE LOGIN and AFTER login is totally different, but to users…. we will treat it as the same
which is Maybank2U.com. Imagine how do I explain to my dad that the ‘Home’
tab he clicks is different with the ‘Home’ he clicks before he login…???.
He will tell me - 1 is 1 and 2 is 2. Why so confuse one…..
So guys, think as a customer (for both young and older generation).
You may want to change the tab name to be more meaningful.
Well, frankly speaking, at first, the website it not user-friendly at all to me. However, after using it for about a month, i notice that is has suddenly becomes user-friendly (without any changes made by M2U team).
Maybe I have get used to it.
Nevertheless, what I like most about the new M2U are :
1). Speed - It has really improved a lot as compared to the old M2U.
(minus the first few weeks of super slow speed due to some technical
glitches when M2U newly launch - apology accepted and let’s move on).
2). Request for TAC - It’s much easier now.
We don’t have to go back to previous page to request for TAC.
We can even apply up-front (in the ‘Home’ page after login).
Last but not least, I hope you guys will take actions on the comments
given by all the bloggers here and not just merely being entertain by ‘admin’.
We spend a lot of time giving constructive comments with the hope M2U
will improve better and we hope you appreciate the time we are willing to spend
on your online portal.
Cheers!

Sir/ Madam,
I’m having a mobile no 0142xxxxxx. Which is a Maxis no using for more than 15months. Here I faced a problem, When i try to buy a Maxis topup on this maybank website there is only available no starts from 012/017 only. So if i wants to get a reload to my no may i know the way?
February 11th, 2009 at 9:00 pm
hi admin…. why i cannot receive my TAC from my handphone with this new look maybank2u. with the old maybank2u i can received TAC number. Did i need to go register my phone number again a atm machine?. pls advise me and why this is happen?..thank you
March 2nd, 2009 at 8:40 am
i also prefer the previous format.
I hope M2U can bring back the search box. It is terribly difficult to find information in the website now. I don’t have the time to search through every single tab to get and search a particular topic that i want. I don’t think that the FAQs can replace a simple search box. I would still need to search through the FAQs for my answer. And as i mentioned earlier, i do not have the time to do. Even if i did search through the FAQ, there is no guarantee that it could point me to the right direction anyway
April 28th, 2009 at 10:52 am
i cant log in to my maybank2u online.. access denied

Hi, I have sent a message to this before but I don’t see it here. Anyway, just to repeat myself - the new format is not so friendly as before. We don’t see the balance of our accounts on the same page as the transaction page. To see the balance, we have to go to another page. This is indeed not convenient. Can’t we see the balance and all the transactions on the same page?

HI, I HAVE CHANGED MY MOBILE NO AND WANT TO UPDATE THE NEW NUMBER FOR I-BANKING TAC. HOW CAN IT BE DONE? THANKS
June 10th, 2009 at 10:39 am
Hi Mr Vivek Kumar,
You need to go to any Maybank Kawanku ATM and de-register your previous mobile number. Once you have de-registered your previous mobile number, you can register your new mobile number and it will be updated in our system. You will then receive TAC number on your new mobile number.
Should there be any problems, you may call our Customer Care Hotline at 1-300 88 6688 any time, any day.
Thank You.

Dear Maybank2u People,
First, let me congratulate you guys on a job well-done. I am glad that you were not willing to rest on your laurels with regards to the old website, and had the courage to face the short-term protests of your customers to improve it for them in the long-run. I have found the website so much easier to use!
After many months of using it, only now have I found a real flaw: I was adding a new favourite 3rd party transfer account, and found the form for the recipient email address too short by two characters. As the recipient’s email is really that long, and she has no other email address that she bothers to check, I would really appreciate your increasing the length availability for this function so that I may type her real email address in.
Thank you!

On 24.06.2009, I went to Maybank KL Sentral Branch to open a Premier Mudharabah Account (PMA) for one of my company’s clients, Persatuan Pengendali Internet Selangor dan Wilayah Persekutuan. The executive who attended to me was Mr. S Vengu a/l Shanmugam.
He was not sure whether our client was able to open a PMA because it is an Association. I told him that we had open PMA for some of our other clients with MBB KL Main and MBB Damansara Utama who are also Associations. Upon learning this he went all out to assist me on the matter.
His dedication to serve our client is examplary and employees like Mr, S Vengu will surley enable to MBB to maintain its status as the Number 1 Local Bank in the country and one of the better ones in the region.
Thank you Mr. S Vengu.

When we go to the Customer Service page on the M2U website, fill out the ‘Make
an enquiry’ form and click Submit, all we get is a blank page. The message is obviously not getting through as I never get an answer to my enquiries.
My wife, who is Malaysian, and I live overseas permanently and only return to
Malaysia once every couple of years. As we own a house in Malaysia, we have
bills to pay, etc. For some of these transactions, we need a TAC. As we don’t have a Malaysian mobile phone and Maybank does not allow us to register our Australian mobile to receive TAC, the only way we can get the TAC is by using Kawanku Phone Banking.
We have had a lot of problems with the Kawanku Phone Banking IVR system. The problem is that the digits we are dialling are not recognised by the system. We are constantly getting the message “I’m sorry, I did not get any response.” Sometimes, it will recognise our inputs until we get to the access number. After dialling the access number, there is a long silence, then the message “You have entered an invalid selection. Please enter your access number.”
I have tried different handsets, different DTMF methods, such as Audio, RFC 2833, Info, etc. but none of these have made any difference. Our phone service provider has also been looking into this issue but hasn’t found a solution as yet. I’m sure the system must work ok in Malaysia, otherwise there would be a flood of complaints. I would appreciate it very much if someone from Maybank could email me with the DTMF and/or codec settings Maybank’s IVR can accept. There is nothing more frustrating than having to make numerous calls at international rates just to get a TAC. It is a waste of time and money.
If this problem cannot be resolved, maybe Maybank could relax their rule about allowing foreign mobile phones to register for the TAC service when in Malaysia. Anyway, something should be done to make it easier for expatriates to conduct their everyday banking from overseas.
Back to the website: In the Transaction History, I would like to see more information about incoming and outgoing transactions. At present, only the date and the amount is provided. Every Australian bank will give you details of whom money was paid to or from whom you received money plus any references entered by the sender. This makes life a lot easier when reconciling an account.
I would also like the Transaction History to go back at least a couple of years rather than the three months we currently get. At the very minimum, we should be able to check all transactions for the current financial year.
Apart from the above shortcomings, I enjoy using the Maybank website and am looking forward to further improvements.
Keep up the good work. All the best.
Kind regards

I would like to request Maybank to allow online customers to contact
the bank through emails. To send an email is more economical than
make a call to your hotline as the call charges incur is rather costly.
Kindly consider my request and I greatly appreciate your reply
soonest. Thank you.

I totally agree with Cindy, with all the technology advancement, customers should have more channel to interact with the bank. Email is the best alternative.
Looking forward for the implementation!

I am Maybank Credit Card holder for so long but I don’t have any maybank account. I would like to have an e-statement for my credit card so that It is easy for me to check my current statement.
Citibank did allow the credit card holder to have e-statement even though they don’t have any account with the citibank.
I do hope the new all-new M2U allow me to have the login ID to get my credit card e-statement.
Hope to be able to have the MAYBANK credit card e-statement soon…
I always did not get my mail statement and I have to make a call for the details statement and ask the payment balance each time I want to make a payment….
Thank you….

Customer hotline 1-300 88 6688 is like a haunted line whereby there is nobody will answer your call. it happen to me when i do call and the machine will answer and instruct to key in this and that. finnally no consultant answering my call and my waiting time is up to 15min waiting after key in this and that..
it waste my phone bill and i still couldn’t get the consultant.
Why not this hotline number asking caller phone nunber and use calback request system when the consultant is dammed busy and the consultant return to customer call. Do you think that this method is workable.

I have just change my ATM card. Unfortunately I didn’t ask the staf to link my maybank credit cards account with my maybank2u facilities. So is it possible to link my credit cards account with my saving account so that I can access my credit cards transactions without going to the bank?

Mr. Iskandar: Now you can reset your password online. Just go to M2U ‘Login page’ and then click on ‘Forgot Password’. There’ll be easy steps after that. Try it!
Ms. Cindy/Pauline: Customers can actually send emails to make an enquiry, comment or complaint. Check it out here -> http://bit.ly/ad6UwE
Ms. Ruhazah: Sure, you can…just use your credit card to register at our ATM machines. The steps is shown here -> http://bit.ly/6D3yEc
Mr Suhaimi: Thanks for the feedback. Will share it with relevant department accordingly.
Mr. Hassan: Unfortunately our current process requires customer to do it at the branch for verification purposes. We apologize for that. Perhaps it is a good idea for us to explore having that functionality online. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Adilah, first of all thank you for showing your interest to use M2U for your virtual banking needs. If you are unable to recall ‘password’ alone, you can actually reset it at M2U itself. However, if you have forgotten both, ‘password’ and ‘username’, kindly call our Customer Service at 1-300 88 6688 to reset your M2U access and then proceed to our ATM machines to make a new registration. The steps is shown here -> http://bit.ly/6D3yEc
