Maybank tops Malaysia’s Most Valuable Brands for the 2nd year
Categories: General

Last week, Maybank was ranked as Malaysia’s most valuable brand for the second year in a row in a valuation study commissioned by 4As (the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Malaysia) and The Edge. According to the study, Maybank’s brand valuation is RM9.3 billion.
The award means a lot to us, and the mind boggles at the thought of something being worth RM9.3 billion. However, we know that we wouldn’t have won the award if it wasn’t for you, our customers. Right from the point when we opened our doors for business as the country’s first local bank on Sept 12, 1960, the brand has always been about people.
And because we know that we owe our success to you, we will endeavour to continue putting you first in our objectives. You are the reason we continue to improve and deliver the best banking experience we can. (After all, we want to win the award again next year for the third year in a row!)
So here’s to you. Thank you for being a Maybank customer and making Maybank Malaysia’s Most Valuable Brand.

I am an ex-maybanker and I am always proud of Maybank. Since I joined maybank on 01/11/1962 untill I retired I am always proud of maybank’s achievements over the years. I want to see maybank continues to be the leading
local bank forever. From coffee shop bank to hill top bank and my accounts are tagged with staff accounts.

hello, I was once with maybank 1972-1982. Married to maybanker. About 6 couples married their very own colleague in the same branch of 40 staff. (Including me) Immagine that.!!!! A very very small world. No No. To be Appropriate; we have no life then. No computers, all done by hand, hand written. Ledger Books all over the table. Olympia typewiter, carbon papers are every where. Work from 9 to 9, but go back early morning 3-4 am every financial year closing(2 times a year). One of the closing we didnot go back, ‘cos “tak balance”. We were the pillars of maybank back then …….. The phrase ” dont die for the bank” was common during those days, a reminder not to work very hard, have time for your own.
